These two communities are attached to and wrapped around the city of Cabot. They encompass the Cabot School District which is a huge attraction for families moving to this area. All these cities are located in northwest Lonoke County which has one of the lowest tax base for real estate in the State of Arkansas.
Austin and Ward features growing subdivisions along with rural areas for family homes. It is not uncommon to pass a horse trailer headed to the farm! With the easy commute on Highway 67/167, Hwy 89 and Hwy 64, families can easily travel to Little Rock, Jacksonville, Little rock Air Force Base, Searcy, Conway, and Lonoke for work.
The quiet atmosphere and laid back attitude attracts those that enjoy their home and family but yet are only minutes from the hustle and bustle of the big city!
Greers Ferry Lake is located just minutes away for year around fun with fishing, camping, boating, swimming etc.
Arkansas State University-Beebe is also located about 15 minutes north of Ward/Austin area on Hwy 67/167. This is a favorite among our graduating students to attend college while commuting from home. University of Central Arkansas is located in Conway just 30 minutes away also provides for the needs of our college bound students. Another option is Harding University located in Searcy just 25 minutes from our area, too.
