Population of city as of 2013 is approximately 25,000. Surrounding communities of Austin and Ward and northern Lonoke County populates our Cabot school district of around 60,000 citizens.

As a suburb of the Little Rock metropolitan area, homeowners enjoy the lower tax base for real estate. Cabot area is a bedroom community that focuses on schools and hometown atmosphere yet only minutes from shopping, fine restaurants and entertainment. Cabot located on 16 miles north of Little Rock on Highway 67/167. 50% of our population are commuters into the Little Rock workplace.
Cabot area is also a huge contributor to the Little Rock Air Force Base which is only 6 miles from our city. Approximately 40% of the military personnel call Cabot, Austin and Ward their home!
Parks and recreation is a huge concern to provide services to our youth programs. As of 2013, the city of Cabot is currently undergoing a 17 million creation of new ball park, expansion of current parks, new water park complex, expansion of the community center and other minor projects.
Nearby lakes are an attraction to our citizens as we travel just 30 minutes to Greers Ferry Lake and Dam for camping, fishing, swimming, boating and other lake activities.
Cabot was just a small community of 2000 citizens prior to a tornado that hit this town in 1976. It was then that the citizens built back and focused on growing their community. During the 1980’s, 1990’s all the way to the boom of 2005 era, is when you can literally watch this town explode! Cabot was named Boomtown of Arkansas and has continued to amaze everyone. AS an example, in 1990 the population was 8300 and by the year 2000, Cabot city limits grew to 17,000!
Cabotfest is a celebration day of the revitalization of Cabot since 1976. This event is sponsored by the Cabot Chamber of Commerce. The 30th anniversary brought approximately 25000 visitors to this celebration held the second Saturday of October. Family fun includes carnival, car show, entertainment, craft and business booths, kid’s zone and much more that is all free of admission!
Strawberryfest is another festival in the spring to showcase our locally strawberries sponsored by the Cabot Junior Auxiliary. Haven’t tasted sweet strawberries until you taste ours! Usually held in April at Cabot Community Center and filled with fun for all. Golfers—Attention! Cabot is the home of three 18 hole golf courses. Our original is Rolling Hills Golf Course located on the southern part of town offers beautiful course, swimming pool and tennis courts.
Mountain Springs Golf Course and Cypress Creek Course are full golf courses are located in the Natural Golf Trail of Greystone Golf Community located on west side of Cabot. This 2000 acre development includes the two 18 hole courses plus luxurious homes from the mid $150,000 range to million dollar homes. Each subdivision themed for specific features attracting homeowners in need of garden homes, townhouses, single family starter homes to luxurious homes in gated areas.New construction still underway to build your dream home.
